Concrete pumping cylinder
Conveying cylinder is an important part of concrete pumping equipment.
First, structural characteristics
The cylinder is usually made of high-strength alloy steel, and the inner wall is specially treated, such as chrome plating, to improve wear and corrosion resistance. It is generally cylindrical, and the two ends are respectively connected to the hopper and the conveying pipe.
Second, the working principle
Under the action of the concrete pump, the piston moves reciprocally in the conveying cylinder. When the piston backs up, the concrete is sucked into the cylinder; When the piston advances, the concrete in the cylinder is pushed into the conveying pipe, thus achieving continuous conveying of concrete.
Three, common problems and solutions
Step 1 Wear and tear
• The inner wall of the cylinder and the piston will be worn due to friction with the concrete during long-term use. In order to reduce wear, high-quality wear-resistant materials can be used to make pistons, and ensure that the mix of concrete is reasonable to reduce the wear of the conveying cylinder.
• Check the wear of the cylinder regularly, and replace the cylinder or repair it in time when the wear reaches a certain degree.
Step 2 Jam
• Impurities in the concrete, large aggregates, etc., may cause the cylinder to clog. Before pumping, the quality of the concrete should be ensured, and the raw materials should be screened and treated.
• If blockage occurs, the blockage can be removed by reverse pumping or manual cleaning.
Fourth, maintenance
  1. Wash regularly
• After the end of pumping, clean the conveying cylinder and piston in time to remove the residual concrete to prevent the damage to the conveying cylinder after solidification.
• Use special cleaning agents and tools to ensure thorough cleaning.
Step 2 Lubricate
• Maintain good lubrication between the cylinder and the piston to reduce friction and wear.
• Check the lubrication system regularly and add or replace lubricants.
3. Inspection and maintenance
• Check the sealing performance and wear of the cylinder regularly, and deal with problems in time.
• Repair or replace damaged cylinder to ensure normal operation of equipment.
